This memory game is great if you have some spare time with your kids:

The first player starts by saying aloud "I went to the shop and brought ..." and then think of an item and say it. The next player then says the same thing, adding player one's item on the end, and then adding their own. Each player carries on taking turns adding to the shopping list until any of the players forgets the list or says any of the items in an incorrect order. That player is then out of the game. Carry on taking turns until you have one winner.

** How many can you remember? 10? 20? You and your children should easily reach 50+ using a few simple techniques.

1. Use whatever springs into you mind when the previous item is known

2. Use your imagination to associate one item with another, linking each item together.

3. Create a virtual story, adding a new ending, as each item becomes known.

4. The most important point of all is to HAVE FUN!! ;-) ...you may never need make a shopping list again!!
